From within the tragedy emerges art, maybe that would be the best title for the fifth round of the Student International Small Print Show. The tragic events of wars and conflicts that the Middle East witnesses have casted their dark shadows on the works of many students, those works show explicitly the interaction of the young artists with the raging events around them. Even though those works reflect a great deal of pain and suffering, they at the same time reflect the challenging spirt of the youth and their aspiration for a better future. The majority of the exhibited artworks from around the world demonstrate the ability of the young artists to express their feelings and visions eloquently as well as the ability to investigate and analyze difficult and complex subjects. In SIPS 16 105 prints of 56 artist representing 11 countries have been selected for inclusion in the show. The represented countries are: America , Canada , Ecuador , Egypt , Greece , India , Italy , Iran , Korea , Poland, and Vietnam . Finally I would like to thank everyone contributed to the success of SIPS 16 including all the participating artists from around the world , SIPS 16’s Jury Panel (Prof. Karen Kunc : USA , Prof. Sean Caulfield : Canada , and Prof. Hamdi Abouelmaati : Egypt ) . Also I would like to thank the Sponsors of SIPS 16 ( Dai art gallery ,and Animation 8 ) , and last but not least I would like to thank the teamwork of SIPS 16 ( Assistant Prof. Mohamed Ramadan , Mina Nassef , Marawan Ashraf and Davied Emad).
